CAROLS BY THE LAKE
Westside Community Care is a long time supporter of the annual “Carols by the Lake” most likely Springfield’s largest event. This event is organised by the Springfield Region Combined Churches. It is a very special night featuring Carols, Christmas message, food, glow products and fireworks with the lake creating a beautiful ambience to the evening. This event is usually the second Saturday in December
GARAGE GIVE-AWAY
This event is always held the Saturday before Easter at the Camira Springfield Community Centre. The theme of the Give-Away is: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son at Easter”. Each year on a Saturday near Easter, numerous volunteer donors & helpers desire to reflect that same love around the community by giving freely out of appreciation of God’s free gift. The gates of the Camira Community Centre open at 9am & over 3 hours everything is given away. Goods were given away to the value of Tens of Thousands and were given away to over 1500 people who come each year.
