Spring Lake Community Centre
WCC has been managing the Spring Lake Community Centre for Delfin since early 2009. The small intimate centre is located in the heartland of Springfield Lakes at 53 Spring Lake Blvd Springfield Lakes.
Spring Lakes Community Centre offers programs to enrich, educate, and empower its local residents and wider community. These include Playgroups, Dance & Physical Culture, and Yoga for Kids, Women’s Health, Baby Clinic, Pilates, Toastmasters and an English Conversation group. Our Springfield Christian Family Lakes Campus also meet here Sunday Evenings at 5.30pm Time slots are available for new groups, casual or regular. Camira Springfield Community Centre
Westside Community Care was given the opportunity to manage the Camira Springfield Community Centre in November 2007. Under WCC management the centre’s programs have grown and now include badminton, indoor soccer, Martial Arts, Playtime Playgroup, before and after school care, Hip Hop Dancing, Women’s Adventure Activity Sports, Boxing classes, Craft classes and many more.
The Ministry Centre opened on 31st January 2010 therefore more office space became available for expansion of our community services including pastoral counselling, professional counselling and Healing Rooms ministry.
Time slots are available for any groups requiring casual or regular meetings. For more information please contact 3818 0921.
Chaplaincy Services
WCC strongly supports Chaplaincy work in our local schools. WCC have shown their support by being part of the pioneer group which founded Scripture Union (SU) Chaplaincy at Woodcrest State College in 2003, Springfield Lakes State School in 2007 and Camira State School, 2008. Currently we are establishing Chaplaincy services at USQ Springfield and Orion Springfield Town Centre and are in the process of searching for Business Chaplain for these centres.
Community Bus
WCC own a 11 seater Commuter BUS it uses for its own community Services including Foodbank. The bus is also made available for other Community Groups such as schools, youth groups etc for a small cost. Plans are currently underway to raise funds for a new 20 seater bus.
